Watchdog was established in 2002 because I believed that after years of working with large multi national companies the standard of security services delivered needed to be better. In the last 2 years Watchdog has been the fastest growing provider of security services in the Bay of Plenty because we do it better.

Named after Marty Watchdog, a trusted family pet, Watchdog has evolved into much more than the premium supplier of monitoring and patrol services. Watchdog is about managing and minimising risk to protect the people and property assets of the client. One of Watchdog’s strengths is the ability to adapt rapidly to changing technology and changing threat levels.

As our environment becomes more complicated so too do the risks and exposures we face and Watchdog is continually looking at new ways of protecting people. For example, two years ago Watchdog was the first security company in New Zealand to use the GPS tracking system in our patrol vehicles. Now the use of this system is becoming widespread in the industry.
